For a parent, our children are the source of much joy and frustration. Above all, they're our most prized possession. Many of our courses teach you how to protect them, but there are also times where they must learn to protect or watch out for themselves. Our courses can be taught to children from 3 to 17 (although for older children you may want to consider our Refuse To Be A Victim class).

Course Descriptions

Situational Awareness

Everyone, no matter what their age or sex, can benefit from learning to be cognizant of their surroundings. In this special course just for children, we'll cover everything from how to recognize areas not to enter, to being aware of potential dangers around the home, when near a street, etc.

Firearms Safety Education

Even if you don't have a gun in your house, do you know if your children's friend's parents do? What if they see one in a locker at school (it happens far more often than you or the school authorities know)? Children are naturally curious about firearms, and most accidents happen in homes where parents tell children not to touch firearms ever, but don't explain it to them. We provide guided instruction in handling firearms safely to provide acclimatization, and the three step process to follow if they come across a gun.

Traffic Safety

Whether on foot, bike, bus, or car, our children are constantly around traffic. This course will teach them how to be safe, and introduce the concepts of right-of-way.

Stopping Cyber Bullying

Many responsible parents monitor their children's internet usage on the home computer, but 25% of children use the internet mostly on their phones. This course is directed specifically at how to recognize and deal with cyber bullying.

Internet Safety

A majority of children now use the internet, either directly or via applications on their mobile devices. With a rising number of online predators preying on children in an every-increasing number of ways, it's easy for our children to become ensnared. We'll explain the basics of staying safe online, show ways in which adults try to capture the child's interest and information, and ways they utilize it. It also covers keeping their personal information private online, and how to recognize scams.

Crime Prevention

Whether at home, school, or with friends, children are a favorite target of criminals. There are special considerations to avoid becoming a victim of crime as a child, and we'll show them how to become a “hard” target.

Safety on Wheels

Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, and scooters. Our children usually are exposed to several modes of fun-on-wheels. But they're also a leading cause of injuries to children. This is for children who are ready to learn the basics of safety when on the go. We cover things such as why knee pads, helmets, and other protective gear is important, how to select the most appropriate kind, and how to wear it.
